Students become “Scholars” when applicants are accepted into one of six associate independent schools for middle school.

Graduates

At the conclusion of 8th grade, our graduates choose both public and private high schools for their high school education. All of our graduates are prepared for the college track in the high school they choose.

Associate Schools

Applicants can apply to six different independent middle schools for 5th or 6th grades: Triangle Day School, The Duke School, Durham Nativity, Durham Academy, Carolina Friends School, and Trinity Christian School.

Supporters

Students to Scholars is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose work is entirely supported by donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Our volunteers give us their time and talent. Our supporters are the reason we can be a bridge of education between communities.

Our families are typically from historically underserved communities in Durham and Chapel Hill who want their children to benefit from schools with small class sizes, individual attention from teachers, a wide variety of academic and extra-curricular offerings, and racial and economic diversity.
